Description: 

JOB DESCRIPTION: Holcim (US) Inc. seeks a Senior Process Engineer in Bloomsdale, MO to lead plant discussions and investigations to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Make positive contributions to the plant safety activities and initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to the plant’s production, quality, and environmental functions. Understand strategies, priorities, and optimization techniques that assist the plant in attainment of plant and company objectives. Evaluate operations, processes, and trends through the use of audits and systematic approaches (Six Sigma, RCFA, SPC, etc).
  • Provide technical support on implementation of new equipment and/or new procedures including training of plant personnel as required. Serves as coach / mentor to CP’s in process and other departments.
  • Coordinate and participate in improving the plant’s technical capabilities. Initiate process optimization in collaboration with Quality, Production and Maintenance to ensure maximum and efficient utilization of the plant’s equipment. Elevate the technical knowledge and practices of all facets of the operation.
  • Procure a full spectrum of exposure to cement plant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures, communicating problems in operations, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law.

This position involves domestic/national travel up to 15 % of the time.

 

REQUIREMENTS: The position of Senior Process Engineer requires a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, plus 5 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered, as Process Engineer/Manager, Automation Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, or in related engineering position.


The position requires 5 years of professional experience with each of the following:

  1. Conducting process engineering activities to optimize the cement manufacturing process
  2. Conducting complete kiln, raw mill, and cement process A and B level Audits
  3. Process Engineering experience in a cement plant
  4. Excel, Access, IP21, SAP, and SPC
