ABOUT THE ROLE
The Strategy Director will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of Holcim North America. This position will work closely with senior stakeholders, including the North American Head, the NA Executive Committee, and leaders across operational and functional teams. The Strategy Director will report directly to the SVP of Strategy & Business Development.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Lead and contribute to the development of Holcim’s corporate strategy and long-term vision for the North American business.
- Manage and execute multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously, from problem definition to implementation.
- Develop business cases and assess the attractiveness of new markets, business segments, and investment opportunities.
- Monitor progress on strategic priorities and support the business in aligning execution with strategic goals.
- Prepare clear, compelling, and visually polished strategic presentations and reports for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support leadership decision-making through robust analysis, structured thinking, and fact-based insights.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
- This role is highly cross-functional, requiring frequent interaction with teams across the organization, Business Development/M&A, Operations, Finance, Commercial, and other core functions.
- Collaboration with global strategy and business development counterparts in Switzerland.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree
Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Business, Finance or Engineering.
Required Work Experience: 10+ year of working experience. 4+ years of experience in strategy roles
Required Technical Skills: Advanced Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and equivalent Google Suite product
Travel Requirements: 15%

- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Self-motivated and hands-on, with the ability to operate independently while maintaining high standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, approachable working style.
- Broad understanding of the company, its strategy and the sector. Building Materials experience ideal.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
