ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Concrete Technologist is responsible for overseeing the quality control of concrete production, from raw materials to finished products.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Ensuring quality throughout the entire concrete production process, including raw materials, mix designs, and finished products
- Conducting laboratory tests on concrete samples to evaluate properties like strength, slump, air content, and other testing in compliance with local, state and national standards
- Developing and optimizing concrete mix designs to meet project specifications and cost parameters
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of test results, mix designs, and quality control activities
- Analyzing test data and production processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization
- Collaborating with production teams to implement process enhancements and new mix designs
- Staying updated on industry best practices, new testing methods, and emerging technologies in concrete production
- Preparing technical reports, summaries, and documentation for project submittals and client communication
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to address quality concerns or nonconformances
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or 5 years of equivalent experience.
Additional Education Preferred: Associate's degree
Required Training/Certifications: Certification in ACI (American Concrete Institute) testing procedures is highly desirable. Other state or national certifications in construction materials testing preferred. CDOT experience a plus

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
