ABOUT THE ROLE
Provides timely and accurate tickets to customers, ensuring the smooth flow of traffic across the scale. Assists in the coordination of truck dispatch orders to ensure maximum efficiency of trucking. Proactively sells to specific customer segments, administers key sales systems and processes, and provides sales support to the sales team in the Market Area. Helps achieve sales targets to assigned segments through proactive prospecting over the phone, internet and responding to customer inquiries. In addition, provides support, provide support both in person and remotely to other Scales. Coordinates the clearing sales order transactions.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
• Coordinates truck dispatch to jobs with orders received from Dispatch Office and operates computer to produce appropriate customer tickets. Verifies tickets for numbers, date and time accuracy. Collects COD money and properly records it.
• Sends transaction register and ticket copies to main office on daily basis. Transfers all files and tickets transfer files at least twice daily. Ensures all delivery tickets are signed by drivers on FOB orders before they leave the plant. Answers phones and takes accurate messages for others in their absence.
• Tares’ trucks (empty weight) on weekly basis and records as appropriate as well as maintains accurate records of tons sold by product.
• Maintains product knowledge necessary to answer customer questions. Performs housekeeping duties to ensure that scale house is clean and orderly. Assists Plant employees as required. Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
• Willing and able to cover scales at other plants (including an occasional Saturdays).
• Act as customer contact for delivery inquiries and coordinate the sales order delivery process.
• Perform site specific inductions of all visitors at our sites.
• Customer inquiries and complaint resolution. Gather all information required for sales to make a decision on billing errors, NOADS.
• Work as a liaison between sales, AR, credit, collections, quality control and the front end to coordinate sales system related functions.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of hardware/software.
• Knowledge of the construction industry required.
• Strong English language skills; fluent in multiple languages an asset.
• 1+ year experience in a related coordinator role or construction industry preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Field of Study Preferred: N/A
Required Work Experience: 1 Year Customer Service Experience
Travel Requirements: may require local travel to other facilities to provide support, as needed.
Additional Requirements:
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim Approved Personal Protection Equipment (“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employee that are required to war respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
