ABOUT THE ROLE
Performs various tasks associated with monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the operation of rotary kilns, mills, and auxiliary equipment such as the reclaimer, crushers, conveyors, feeders, dust collectors, flow control devices, and other related equipment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Operates forklift, loaders, pick-up truck, Jackhammer, and other industrial equipment.
- Interprets and understands readings on instrumentation panels with regard to equipment inspection.
- Assists with outages and performs other work activities to support the Process Area Teams.
- Provides relief for other team members as needed.
- Records accurate information associated with all work performed in the process area.
- Assists with troubleshooting based on analysis of information collected.
- Performs tasks associated with maintaining mechanical systems throughout the plant.
- Participates in formal and on-the job training programs to acquire/broaden both technical and non-technical job skills; participates in cross training activities.
- Interacts with members of Process Areas on a regular basis to gather or communicate information, solve problems, etc.
- Inspects equipment assigned to him/her each shift in accordance with department policy.
- Works rotating shift schedule and weekends as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: High School diploma/GED
Additional Education Preferred: Associates/Technical Degree
Required Work Experience: 1-2 years
Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills

- Must possess a valid driver’s license

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
