ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing road construction projects according to strict deadlines
and within budget for assigned activities within an engineering project. Applies broad and diversified
knowledge of engineering and road construction principles and practices to project engineering in the
preparation of complex engineering analyses. Makes decisions independently concerning problems within the
project. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control. Represents
the Company on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions and to coordinate work.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Plans, develops, coordinate and reviews complex engineering work within the project. Coordinates and interfaces with the day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Manages technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, and regulators) to facilitate appropriate technical decisions, resolve project issues and propose solutions to help meet deadlines and monitor related job costs.
- Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with projects scope, schedule and budget and manages implementation and performance accordingly.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Establishes plant policies and procedures that support the overall mission of the product line and Company and ensures compliance.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Improves productivity by analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and developing strategies and recommendations for improvement.
- Works closely with Management to identify and address customer service, union, and fleet related concerns.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent experience
Field of Study Preferred: Engineering or Construction Mgmt Construction technology, business, economics, public administration or related field.
Required Work Experience: 5 years of road work construction experience. Knowledge of engineering work
planning and control methods. Extensive knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards. Strong job
costing & forecasting experience. AutoCAD experience a plus. Knowledge of GPS/Survey preferred.
3-5 years - Five years supervisory and two years multi-site management experience desired. Three years of maintenance management experience.
Required Training/Certifications: 30 hour OSHA card. Licenses Preferred: Professional Engineer License. Commercial Driver’s License
Required Computer and Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Primavera or related industry software experience strongly preferred.
Travel Requirements: Some travel to local sites extensive travel, sometimes on poor road conditions and in adverse weather conditions

Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
