ABOUT THE ROLE
The Regional Controller is a senior member of and supports the regional leadership team in managing, providing direction for, and coordinating budgeting, planning, financial reporting, and analysis activities for the regional business. assigned product line(s) and or business entities.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Working with both finance and operational teams to deliver reporting and analysis to business leaders. Provide advice and counsel business leaders on the financial impacts of business decisions.
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and compiling data from both accounting and operational systems necessary for monthly reporting.
- Actively participate with corporate finance and other Regional Controllers on initiatives to continually review, streamline, standardize, and enhance processes. Provide corporate finance/FP&A team with support for company-wide analysis and benchmarking initiatives.
- Direct the development, preparation, and maintenance of various financial and operational reports.
- Ensure controls are in place to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and statutory requirements.
- Educate management and staff on financial processes/policies and the financial impact of business and operational decisions.
- Work with business leaders to improve operational efficiencies, delivering value-added support to help improve results.
- Leed and develop a team of finance and credit professionals both locally and at remote locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree
Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline
Required Work Experience: 10-15 years
Required Training/Certifications: Accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA, or CPA).
Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office and SAP
Additional Requirements:
- Proven leadership, business partnering, project management, and analytical skills
- Strong technical accounting and analysis skills
- Building Materials industry financial experience preferred
- Financial statements and accounting relationship knowledge
- Understanding of job costing and manufacturing processes.

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
