Production Supervisor

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role oversees production operations, ensuring quality standards, equipment efficiency, and team training, supervision and safety. The position requires collaboration with lab and process teams, strong attention to cost control, and adherence to environmental and safety protocols.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Commitment to Safety: Promote and model safe work practices, follow HSE policies, and foster a culture of safety awareness among all team members.
- Process Monitoring: Continuously observe plant operations using control systems and visual checks to ensure efficient and stable processes.
- Team Supervision: Oversee hourly employees, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently while supporting field training.
- Quality Assurance: Partner with lab technicians to monitor cement and clinker quality, reviewing test results and making corrections as needed.
- Equipment Oversight: Conduct routine inspections of operating equipment, reporting issues and supporting maintenance efforts to maintain production targets.
- System Transactions: Utilize SAP for time entry, work orders, and material requisitions to support production and reporting accuracy.
- Cost Awareness: Monitor operations to control costs and identify opportunities for savings in maintenance, repair, and production.
- Housekeeping & Equipment Cleanliness: Maintain a clean work environment and ensure assigned mobile equipment is kept in good condition.
- Daily Documentation & Compliance: Complete daily paperwork and ensure adherence to MSHA, UDEQ, EPA, and internal plant requirements.
- Other Duties: Support daily operations, participate in rotating shifts, and complete additional tasks as assigned to meet plant goals.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
- High school diploma/GED
Required Work Experience:
- Required Work Experience: 3-5 years relevant experience
Computer and Software Skills:
- Knowledge of processing methods and appropriate planning techniques. Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
