ABOUT THE ROLE

Holcim is looking for operators to work on our road crews. Individuals must have personal transportation to travel to multiple work sites and be able to work either days or nights. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Operates the paver and other heavy equipment in a safe manner.  
  • Makes operating adjustments for obtaining proper depth, grade and finished cross section  
  • May occasionally operate other paving equipment such as a power broom, plate compactor, shuttle buggy and/or vibratory roller.  
  • Assists foreman and other crew members, as needed.  
  • Attends all staff safety, environment and production meetings  
  • Reports all incidents, accidents and near misses in accordance with Company policy.  
  • Strictly adheres to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Company Standards, as well as OSHA/MSHA regulations.  

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
