Mobile Equipment Operator - Level II

ABOUT THE ROLE
Mobile Equipment Operator II position is a key positon transporting materials throughout the quarry into piles, trucks or crushers, depending upon production/shipping requirements.
The Operator will maintain a night shift schedule.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Primary operations of front end loaders (993s, 992s, 988s, 980s, etc.), dozers, backhoes, grader, excavators and skid steer loaders.
- Depending upon quarry operational requirements, operating mobile equipment to include, but not limited to front end loaders (993s, 992s, 980s, etc.), haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, grader, excavators, fuel truck, dredge and skid steer loaders.
- Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets and report problems.
- Correct malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to quarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made.
- Do any cleanup that is necessary to have a better and safer working environment.
- Taking accurate and reliable counts of material additions as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: High School diploma/GED
Required Work Experience: 1-3 years’ experience. Experience in an industrial environment preferred.
Required Training/Certifications: Mobile equipment certifications/proficiencies for forklift, loader, skid steer, and man-lift. Basic mechanical skills including welding and cutting.
- Ability to learn stockpile and plant flow
- Experienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment
- Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
- Self-motivated with a solid work ethic

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
- This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employee may have work schedule adjusted on short notice.
