ABOUT THE ROLE    

Holcim is recruiting full-time day and night shift Equipment Operators at the Stringtown, OK quarry—the shift differential for the night shift (6 pm - 6 am).

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING                          

  • Operates dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks, or other types of large equipment used for paving or moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone and/or asphalt materials
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Practice and promote safety by including but not limited to assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, and utilizing appropriate PPE.
  • Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment
  • Ensures that safety, compliance, and environmental requirements are followed at all times
  • Loads material into bins, into crushers, into trucks, or into plant
  • Moves earth or other materials from one location to another
  • Performs visual and safety inspection of equipment;  Maintains appearance of the equipment, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, and performs minor repairs as needed
  • Keeps equipment clean and orderly
  • Completes paperwork that may be necessary; assists with other duties required
  • Other duties as needed


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR       

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required Work Experience:  Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and write
  • Excellent driving skills
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. 
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
