ABOUT THE ROLE                                 

Holcim US, one of the largest construction materials producers in the world, is recruiting a full-time Driver Foreman for our new project in Texas City, TX. New hires must train in Port Arthur for a few weeks before the Texas City project starts, which lasts 18 months. 


WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH                          

  • Coordinates and oversees activities of workers engaged in production operations of the Texas City Project 
  • Responsible work planning, scheduling, directing, performing, and evaluating the repair and servicing of equipment;  establishes deadlines and modifies work schedules to meet deadlines; determines what materials need to be produced and establishes production goals;  provides estimates of materials, costs, and timelines for production; inspects actual performance and supervises and assists subordinate employees
  • Inspects work facilities to determine proper utilization and maintenance and adherence to safety regulations
  • Participate in the preparation of specifications for new construction equipment
  • Maintain an effective system of communication with supervisors and customers served
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR       

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 – 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Strong knowledge and understanding related to company products, processes and equipment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills 
  • Excellent people skills and have high potential for strong leadership development
  • Able to handle multiple responsibilities at one time and must be able to deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach
  • Knowledge and upkeep of any required computer applications used to support the duties 


Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
