Senior CCUS Process & Technology Expert
Zug, CH, 6300
OVERVIEW
Holcim announced in September 2020 the Net Zero Pledge, i.e. meet the 1.5 C target in alignment with SBTi. CO2 Capture is an important leg of this journey. We have to further develop various Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technologies with the objective of having 2030 economically viable solutions at industrial scale. CCUS plays an important role with more than 50 projects being worked on currently and still increasing. Holcim is not focusing on a single technology and solution; the scope is quite broad, involving several people at local, regional and corporate level. In order to develop and manage CCUS project and give best support to the countries in integrating new technologies & concepts in the cement manufacturing environment, technical activities need to be coordinated amongst various players.
WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM YOU?
-
You are involved in all Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) and execution of the Holcim group’s Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) projects worldwide.
-
As the holder of the expertise in process and technology related to flue gas treatment and CO2 purification/liquefaction, you are the overall design authority of the main technical decisions related to the capture projects throughout the project execution phases.
-
You participate in the main technical meetings with the engineering contractors and technology’s providers from contract validation to deliverables review up to the performance test of the plant (in particular, Hazop meetings, vulnerability/redundancy meetings, performance guarantees establishment, 3D plot reviews…).
-
You support the plants in defining the technical/operational/commercial requirements of the ISBL (Inside Battery Limit, ie the capture plant) and of the OSBL (Outside Battery Limit, ie flue gas pre-treatment, wastewater treatment, CO2 metering, CO2 storage, CO2 offloading,...) in order to ensure good operability and maintainability of the plant.
-
You support the plant with regards to future operations preparation (SOP elaboration, HSE plans, maintenance plans, capital spare parts selection, …) by defining the key principles and guidelines with regards to carbon capture operation.
