ABOUT THE ROLE
This position supports the Talent Acquisition team by delivering high-quality recruitment services to Lafarge business leaders in Western Canada operations. The role focuses on recruiting hourly and seasonal hires while fostering strong relationships with hiring managers, candidates, the HR team, and the broader community. Success in this role requires exceptional customer focus, business acumen, and strong time management skills.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Effectively handle hourly recruitment for field-based operational roles, managing the process from job posting to final selection
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers, HR Managers, and the Talent Acquisition team to meet business hiring needs
- Manage high-volume job postings and candidate pipelines to support timely and effective hiring
- Improve candidate selection through screening resumes and phone interviews
- Ensure compliance and data integrity by maintaining accurate documentation and reporting while following recruitment processes
- Deliver exceptional support to hiring managers by coaching and training them on interview and recruitment best practices
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Business, Human Resources, or any related field
Required Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a dynamic and fast-paced recruiting environment
Required Technical Skills: MS Office, Google Workspace
Travel Requirements: 0-10%

- Skilled at managing multiple conflicting priorities simultaneously without overlooking key tasks
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of business needs
- Good communication skills and problem solving abilities
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
