Lafarge, one of Canada’s leading suppliers of ready mix concrete has a requirement for Ready-Mix truck drivers for the Chathgam area for the upcoming construction season. These positions will be defined as part-time seasonal and could possibly become full-time if work load warrants it; some locations operate all year round.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering concrete to customers in a safe and timely manner.
  • Follows and ensures full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Up keep of truck appearance, assist with light maintenance around the Concrete plant
  • Paperwork – circle checks, delivery ticket information.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background : Grade 12 diploma
  • Valid AZ or DZ licence
  • Experience:
  • A clean driving record.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the trucking industry preferred
  • Training will be provided for operating the Ready Mix truck.
  • Physical Attributes:
  • Lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, reaching, push/pull, gripping, squatting, etc.
