Overview


We are looking for an experienced Paver Operator to join our team. The Paver Operator will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to pave roads, driveways, and other surfaces with asphalt or concrete. This role requires proficiency in machine operation, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.


Responsibilities:

•    Operate paving machines to lay asphalt or concrete on roads, parking lots, and other surfaces.

•    Responsible for completing and documenting a daily pre-trip equipment inspection prior to starting the work. 
•    Control the depth and consistency of the asphalt or concrete being laid.
•    Monitor machine operation and adjust settings as needed to ensure proper paving.
•    Direct and guide the movement of trucks delivering asphalt or concrete to the paving machine.
•    Inspect paved surfaces for quality and smoothness, making adjustments as necessary.
•    Perform routine maintenance on paving equipment, such as cleaning and lubricating parts.
•    Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of paving projects.
•    Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.

 

Qualifications and Qualities:
•    A minimum of 3 years of experience operating paving machinery, such as asphalt pavers and rollers.
•    Knowledge of asphalt and concrete paving techniques and materials.
•    Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
•    Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
•    Attention to detail in monitoring and adjusting paving machine settings.
•    Physical ability to climb onto and operate machinery for extended periods.
•    Excellent coordination and spatial awareness to maneuver paving equipment accurately.

•    Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in all weather conditions
•    Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
•    Must be able to work under pressure  and have high attention to detail 
•    Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
•    Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and/or early starts (irregular hours) as necessary
•    Willingness to work flexible hours
