ABOUT THE ROLE
The Territory Sales Manager for Ontario Cement is expected to manage, develop and execute a Business Strategy for new and existing customers in the province of Ontario.  The Territory Sales Manager will achieve sales objectives by building and cultivating strong customer relationships, understanding and driving market dynamics and creating pipeline and commercial opportunities within his/her market.  The Territory Sales Manager is responsible to provide a best in class service to Lafarge customers by working closely with technical support and supply chain and by fostering a culture of continuous sales effectiveness improvement.    

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Achieve sales goals and objectives by maintaining and strengthening existing relationships and establishing new relationships.    
  • Manage Sales relationships and projects to drive revenue growth.    
  • Build effective monthly sales forecasts.    
  • Develop, maintains and utilizes current understanding and expertise of market space, competitive intelligence, product and trends.    
  • Contributes to achieving annual revenue, volume and profit budgets.    
  • Ensures appropriate programs, priorities, and resources are in place to reduce or eliminate health and safety risks to employees, customers, and vendors.    
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Business, Engineering, or equivalent degree    
  • Required Work Experience: 10 years of sales experience, preferably in the cement industry    
  • Required Technical Skills: Deep understanding of the cement or construction materials market, Strong relational skills and ability to communicate effectively, Can influence without authority and possesses managerial courage, Proactive, organize and results oriented self-starter with high level of energy and drive, Solid financial understanding of financial statements.
