General Manager - Eastern Ontario

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is responsible for the profit and loss of the Eastern Ontario Ready Mix Market. You'll make sure we stick to all our promises and keep a strong health and safety culture. You'll be in charge of business strategy, operational and commercial plans, and leading all the market area's resources. Your main areas of focus will be safety, sales, marketing, and making our operations and production run smoothly. You'll work closely with functional leaders to help grow the market, ensure our products and services meet the highest standards, support our sustainability goals, and are delivered and produced cost-effectively. We want someone who can boost employee engagement by sharing our vision, purpose, and core values (Passion, Collaboration, and Grit), and who will support new ideas and digital solutions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: A bachelor's degree in business or engineering is preferred.
- Experience: You'll need at least 10 years of experience in the ready-mix concrete business.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership skills to drive results
- Financial acumen
- Strategic thinking and hands-on implementation
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent people management skills
- Ability to build good relationships internally and externally
- Knowledge of the ready-mix concrete industry
- Software: Microsoft Office, SAP
- Travel: 25%
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
