Backup Weighmaster and Administration Support

Objective & Overview
This position will provide backup for the SW weighmaster positions and perform logistics and operations administration functions when not backing up a weighmaster

 

Responsibilities
 

Backup weighmasters at SW Aggregate Sites:

  • Travel to a front end location to perform weighmaster duties for vacation, medical appointment and emergency coverage

 

Safety Administration:

  • Using Aximate assist in entering, collecting and reporting information on our hauler subcontractors and ensuring they are compliant with Lafarge Standards.
  • Additionally, will assist in preparing communication to our hauler partners for Safety Information and help with spot checking information.  
  • Assist in entering and keeping current records for Convergence.

 

Logistics Administration:

  • Point of contact for hauler payment inquiries and initial investigation of payment status.
  • Prepare haul adjustments and other corrective actions if the investigation indicates corrective action is required.  
  • This position will also provide hauler information to clarify inquiries and the corrective actions taken if required and log those communications.
  • This position will generate weekly reports and participate in the review process looking for discrepancies that require correction.  
  • Creation of reports for projects upon request of management.

 

Production Administration:

  • This role will provide backup and vacation support for the weighmasters that are currently providing production administrative support at their site.  
  • These duties could include fuel consumption entry, employee time entry, entry of sales into the SPI and PO Entry.  
  • The position will also be able to create PO’s for maintenance and work orders and match invoices with their PO.

 

Ticketing and Resale:

  • Ensure that all 3rd Party tickets have been entered and have a corresponding APEX / SAP ticket number.  
  • Where required, provide a cross reference sheet for the 3rd Party ticket and the Apex ticket number to both the customer and hauler to eliminate confusion for both the customer and the hauler.  
  • Assist with providing tickets in cases where the tickets have not been uploaded to our 3rd Party handler (Octacom)

 

Products and Solutions Support:

  • Provide ticket and administrative support to the P&S group

Qualification Profile

 

Education & Work Experience:

  • Proficient in Excel
  • Knowledge of construction industry is an asset, but not essential.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Experience working with customers, dispatch
