ABOUT THE ROLE

 

The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate and supervise mechanical or electrical maintenance activities to achieve the highest level of quality, safety and effectiveness to maximize equipment availability of plant equipment at the lowest optimum sustainable maintenance cost in compliance with OH&S and environmental rules and regulations, following the maintenance guidelines of the Cement Industrial Framework (iCIF) and Maintenance Management System (MAC). 

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Effectively supervise the execution of the daily/weekly preventive and corrective maintenance tasks assigned to the team 
  • Recommend technical improvements for cost reductions and equipment maintainability and reliability 
  • Administrate work order system by generating notifications, closing work orders and recording data base and trends
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings as well as in the major shut-down meeting to coordinate jobs with other departments
  • Accurately report any abnormality in the weekly meetings, monitor  job duration, cost and performance of crew and subcontractors working under their responsibility
  • Collaborate with the planning team with the development/optimization of job planning and follow-up and provide feedback to the planning team about availability of his team
  • Follow and report the Maintenance Planning KPIs, maintenance cost compared to budget, third party service cost analysis, unplanned downtime and work order efficiency and assist in preparing the annual maintenance budget
  • Establish the training program needed for his personnel, schedule available suppliers training based on Frame Contract. 
  • Coordinate meetings with suppliers to check new/innovative developments or new techniques available to optimize the workload and the equipment and provide assistance in the mechanical design and execution of plant projects

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: University Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Required Work Experience: 5 years of maintenance experience in cement industry, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
Required Technical Skills: SAP

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a union environment
  • Knowledge of cement production process 
  • Knowledgeable in FMEA and RCA
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and propose improvement actions
  • With valid driver's license
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
