ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sales Associate will gather project information, review construction documents, and compile bid packages. They will focus on capturing market data and enhancing effectiveness through Salesforce CRM. The ideal candidate will have sales experience, CRM knowledge, and a passion for promoting environmentally-responsible solutions. Driven and energetic, the Sales Associate will actively pursue residential sales leads to increase sales, drive revenue, and deliver vertically integrated solutions to customers. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Sales Associate will support safety, deliver excellent service, and engage customers to grow sustainable product sales.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Actively pursue new residential customers and sales leads through market presence and proactive efforts.
- Conduct research to identify potential leads and target accounts.
- Build and nurture relationships with prospects through effective communication, while clearly conveying the value proposition and benefits of our offerings.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions.
- Promote and sell products in both external and internal construction markets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with market demand and sustainability goals for sustainable products
- Act as a subject matter expert on sustainable eco-source products and offerings.
- Collaborate with the Commercial and Sustainability and Environment teams to provide customer feedback and enhance sustainable product offerings.
- Accurately record customer information, pricing details, and project forecasts in Salesforce, while using CRM and other market data sources to gather, analyze, and interpret insights
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: University degree/College diploma
Field of Study Preferred: Business Management or any related field of study
Required Work Experience: 1-3 years of B2B sales experience
Required Training/Certification: Valid Driver’s License
Required Technical Skills: Google Suite, Salesforce
Travel Requirements: 60% travel within the Central Okanagan region

- Self-motivated individual capable of rapidly establishing and sustaining positive customer relationships.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Good understanding of the local construction market
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and its applications in optimizing sales process an advantage
- High level of precision and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn, with a proactive approach to seeking information.
- Proven experience in sales an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills demonstrated through initiative and resourcefulness.
- Project Management Skills an advantage
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
