Objective: 

  • Work in a safe manner as per Lafarge safety policy.
  • Support Grinding and Terminal Manager, and staff at all Cement Operations in Northern Ontario as required.
  • Assist with the Main Administrator in charge of Spragge, Whitefish River and Wavy for all on site coordination functions.
  • Coordinate any need for order general parts as required with the Spragge plant and Terminals in Northern Ontario and Administrator for Northern Ontario.
  • Assist with entry of any maintenance PMs and actions into the maintenance system for the Spragge Plant and any maintenance activity for all the Cement Terminals in Northern Ontario
  • Assist with coordinating the Health & Safety functions, required training and coordination at all Cement Operations in Northern Ontario
  • Assist with coordinating Port Security documents requirements at all Cement Operations in Northern Ontario
  • Assist and interface with all employees from the Cement Operations in Northern Ontario with their Human Resource needs to the main Administrator for Northern Ontario.
  • Assist with all QC mailings from sites as needed to General Lab at Stoney Creek or others as needed 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual census data surveys.
  • Monitor and scrutinize all visitors in regards to plant orientation and training.

        

Relationships with Others Jobs:  

  • Reports to the Distribution Operations Manager Northern ON.
  • Works closely with the Main Administrator for Northern Ontario to ensure manufacturing best practices and tools are fully utilized across the market area.  
  • Work with the Safety Representatives from the respective sites to develop and maintain a culture of safety
  • Works closely with Main Administrator to ensure operations costs are captured from onsite info throughout each monthly period.
  • Works closely with the Distribution Operations Manager Northern ON to ensure product and parts inventories on site at Spragge are correct in order to efficiently manage inventories.

 

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Data entry for monthly production and maintenance coordination
  • Coordinate the main office functions for all locations (Spragge Plant, Wavy Terminal, Whitefish River Terminal)
  • Coordinate management of supplies, equipment and vendors as needed with plant personnel and Main Administrator for Northern Ontario.
  • Coordinates and maintains records and databases of training, certifications and minutes of meetings on site.
  • Coordinates the Health, Safety and Environmental programs
  • Coordinates all Port Security programs
  • Coordinates all Quality Control program requirements for all locations
  • Coordinates all Production and Maintenance items and requirements for all locations

 

Qualification Profile:

 

Education & Work Experience:

  • Experience in a computerized environment with knowledge of P.C.’s and common software programs (i.e. Microsoft Office)
  • High School diploma

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.  
  • Excellent people management skills:  ability to develop effective internal and external relations.
  • Disciplined and process-oriented.
  • The ability to take initiative and be autonomous.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office Products.
