COMPANY OVERVIEW

Holcim is planning to spin-off its North American Business to unleash its full potential, capitalizing on North America’s oversized growth in construction led by the modernization of infrastructure, a surge in advanced manufacturing and AI operation and the growth of resilient cities.
 
Holcim plans to list the new company on the NYSE by the end of the first half of 2025 and establish its operations headquarters in the US to be fully dedicated to serving the North American market and pursue a growth strategy across the region.
 
The newly listed company will become North America’s leading building solutions company, with industry-leading market position to meet its customers’ greatest ambitions with the most advanced building solutions from foundation to rooftop.

Responsibilities

  1. Visual inspection of reserve stacks and loading faces. Advise the lab technician if any problems are identified (segregation, contamination, lack of equipment, etc.).
  2. Follow the sampling frequency indicated in the Quality Plan for qualitative monitoring in production and delivery. 
  3. Perform quality control of aggregates (grain size, LA, micro Deval, etc.) and asphalt (bitumen extraction, grain size, density, etc.) according to the standards and procedures in place. Record results in appropriate systems.
  4. Advise the lab technician of any non-compliance. 
  5. Clean the lab at the end of each day and complete basic maintenance of equipment.
  6. Any other related tasks at the request of the Quality Supervisor.

 
Experience and skills

  • CEGEP, DEC or Attestation d'Études Collégiales (AEC) (quality control materials, civil engineering or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / G-Suite.
  • Care about the accuracy of information taken.
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written).
  • Valid driver’s licence (Class 5).
