Production Supervisor

ABOUT THE ROLE
Ensures that the concrete batching (production) is in accordance with the specifications provided by the laboratory, while meeting customer needs. Also, allocate and schedule tasks of yard employees to ensure timely delivery of concrete, site cleanliness, plan the supply of raw materials according to customer orders.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
• Conduct daily site cleanliness and safety inspections.
• Ensure all workers, drivers, and contractors wear PPE and follow safety protocols.
• Perform daily checks on mechanical equipment (visual inspection, noise, lubrication, vibration, belts, etc.).
• Measure moisture levels in raw materials like stone and sand before each shift.
• Visually assess plant conditions prior to production.
• Test concrete to ensure it meets required specifications in collaboration with the technical team.
• Order raw materials based on planned needs or anticipated volumes.
• Input received materials into the "Command Batch" system and generate daily reports (inventory, usage, production).
• Conduct end-of-month physical inventory checks with the director.
• Maintain daily communication with the dispatcher and manager to optimize fleet use and report issues or incidents.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: College - CEGEP
Additional Education Preferred: Civil Engineering
Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering
Required Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience, in concrete metering, operations supervision, mechanical maintenance and other production supervision.
Required Technical Skills: RMX Concrete, RMX concrete batching.
Travel Requirements: less than 10%
Additional Requirements:
• Must be able to work independently and be responsible and well organized
• Good communicator with a strong sense of customer service
• Must be able to work in a team
• Good decision-making and quick response in a changing environment
• Good analytical skills and ability to anticipate problems
• Comfortable with the various computer tools
• Knowledge of building materials and concrete
• Experience in industrial mechanics or diesel would be an asset.Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
