About The Role

Responsibilities
- Delivering concrete to customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Work safely and have a safety mindset.
- Up keep of truck appearance.
- Assist with light maintenance around the plants.
- Follows and ensures full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Completing pre-trip inspections and other required paperwork or electronic checkpoints as instructed.
- Communicate positively and problem-solve with your plant team.
- Assist other local Ready Mix operations from time to time
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

Qualifications
- Educational Background : Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Skills & Experience:
- Valid Class DZ driver’s license or equivalent.
- A clean driving record.
- Manual Transmission experience an asset
- 3 - 5 years of experience in the trucking industry preferred
- Physical Attributes:
- Must be able to work in outdoor and indoor work environments in all weather.
- Availability for shift work is required. Flexible hours may be required on occasion to meet the demands of our customers which will include overtime and weekend work.
- Able to perform a variety of physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs, stepping up, carrying, climbing, bending, reaching, push/pull, gripping, squatting, climbing ladders, etc.
- Experience in ReadyMix not required if the candidate has a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Lafarge approved Personal Protection Equipment (“PPE”).
