Installation Foreman (Ready-mix)

Location

Rotational between batch plants

Job Purpose

Mechanical foreman will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.

They will troubleshoot mechanical issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and availability. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities

1-Health & Safety:

Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practice s are maintained

 

2-Functional:

  • Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps.
  • Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
  • Must be willing to work a changing shift schedule and on a rotating weekend on call list.
  • Able to set up and operate machines, welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment.
  • Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
  • Participates in plant safety, health and environmental programs.
  • Participate in plant installations for capacity expansion.

 

Education

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

     Education:

  • Graduate of industrial and technical schools and industrial institutes.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to specify quality spares and consumables.
  • Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.
  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Energetic “can do’’ attitude to work and able to motivate fellow workers.

 

    Experience:

  • Have at least 3 years experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair.
