Job Title: Certified Lifting Expert

Job Purpose:

  • Review, validate, and oversee all heavy and critical lifting operations for the Line 5 reactivation project (including the Main Filter, Cooler ESP, and Dopol-Kiln Fan). Ensures all lifting plans and executions comply with Holcim standards and "Zero Harm" principles, mitigating risks associated with heavy mechanical assembly and demolition.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

Health & Safety:

Ensure highest level of safety compliance and hazard mitigation for all lifting and rigging activities.

Functional:

  1. Lifting Plan Validation: Review and approve all major and high-risk lifting activities prior to execution.

  2. Execution Supervision: Provide continuous field supervision during critical lifting operations.

  3. Equipment Inspection: Validate third-party inspection (TPI) certificates for all cranes and lifting gears before they are authorized on site.

  4. Contractor Oversight: Ensure contractor riggers and operators are competent, licensed, and following approved lifting plans.

 

Education,Skills & Experience:

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or relevant technical diploma.

  • Certifications: LEEA Certification (Appointed Person for Lifting Operations) or equivalent.

  • Technical Skills: Expertise in crane load charts, rigging techniques, and heavy mechanical assembly.

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years managing heavy lifting operations in industrial mega-projects or cement plants.
