Electrical Inspection Engineer

Job Purpose

 

  • Manage implementation of preventive Maintenance activities with high performance.
  • Monitor and control the effectiveness of preventive maintenance program to close the gap.
  • Assists the preventive maintenance manager to prepare effective maintenance budget by highly accurate major activities estimation.

Key Responsibilities

 

1-Health & Safety:

  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation, as well as the Company's HSE Policies, Rules, and Standards.
  • Ensure the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained at all times.
  • Follow all HSE Procedures, both Management and Operational.
  • Commit to gain all HSE competencies and capabilities relevant to the job role, as outlined in the country HSE training matrix (mandatory for the position or required based on the individual's activities).

2-Functional:

  • Measure and monitor electrical equipment conditions, analyses trends, and identify the needs for electrical maintenance taking into account production constraints.
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of the condition of all electrical equipment on a continuous basis.
  • Ensure the planned inspection of all electrical equipment and initiate work orders based on inspection. results, including safety checks. In case of anomaly, performs first analysis and defines priorities for each action.
  • Check the resistance of the grounding systems.
  • Apply thermography inspection on MCC’s, transformers, switchgears and medium voltage motors.
  • Perform on-line and off-line tests for medium voltage motors, Electrical Motor Diagnosis (EMD).
  • Conduct and diagnose oil analysis on transformers.
  • Execute circuit breakers timing analysis
  • Do circuit breaker main contact resistance measurement.
  • Buchloz relay test for transformers
  • Review and dynamic update the preventive maintenance program.

 

Education

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

     Education:

  • BSC degree in Electrical Engineering

Managerial Skills:

  • Knowledge of all kind of Electrical Maintenance
  • Ability to analyze a given Data and give a recommendation
  • Technical Reporting and Mailing
  • Budget and cost sharing and oriented
  • Problem solving and methods and tools (Root Cause Failure Analysis, Risk Analysis)

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent communication, analytical & presentation Skills.
  • Strong command of the English language preferred (both oral and written)

    Experience:

  • 1 - 3 year experience in electrical maintenance, electrical inspection and motors diagnoses analysis
