External Quarries & Additives Lead

Job Purpose

To direct and control the activities of clay quarries & Additives operation in order to ensure that operations are carried out in the most efficient and effective manner and ensure that sufficient raw materials supply with adequate quality to LCE plant

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Health & Safety:

 

  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation, as well as the Company's HSE Policies, Rules, and Standards.
  • Ensure the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained at all times.
  • Follow all HSE Procedures, both Management and Operational.
  • Commit to gain all HSE competencies and capabilities relevant to the job role, as outlined in the country HSE training matrix (mandatory for the position or required based on the individual's activities)

 

 

  1. Functional:

 

  • Managing clay quarries operation team to achieve quarries plan execution, control material quantity needed and quality and keep quarry life time.

    Material Quality-Material Quantity
             Quarry Lifetime
  • Supervise and control subcontractors in order to ensure material supply with minimum cost and within the suitable time.
    KPI: 
    Material Availability
             Material Cost
  • Participate with planning team in new quarries research and raw material supplies in order to enhance material quality and minimize costs
    KPI:  New Quarries Opening 
  • Follow up with governmental authorities and Army quarries licenses to ensure long term raw materials supplies.

    Raw Material Quarries Lifetime
  • Participate in Quality Circle activity, leading and encouraging continuous quality improvement activity
    KPI: Creation of a climate that values continuous quality improvement philosophy and activity
  • Prepare reports on the full range of quarries operation in order to ensure that senior management have sufficient information to support decision making
    KPI: Timely and accurate report production
            Clarity of data analysis and information
  • Co-ordinate and communicate effectively with other Departments, attending and reporting regularly to management meetings in order to ensure that quarries provision meets the ongoing needs of the production process
    KPI:
    Quality of two-way communication  
            Quarries meet production needs

  • Conduct on the job training, demonstration and instruction for new and/or existing employees in order to support their professional development and ensure the highest standards of performance are achieved across the team.
    KPI: Effective skill transfer

 

 

Education: Bachelor of Science, geology department

 

Technical Skills:  Mining operations of deferent types of quarries & Raw materials preparations

 

Experience: 8-10 years of  experience in mining operations, quarries & Raw materials preparations
