HSE Admin / Document Controller (12 Months Contract)

Job Purpose: Ensure effective governance, documentation, and performance tracking of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements for the Line 5 Reactivation (Osirise) project. Ensure control measures are operating with reference to the LafargeHolcim internal control framework.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Health & Safety:
  • Establish and enforce HSE documentation policies, procedures, and best practices in line with international and local regulations.

2-Functional:

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and maintain HSE performance dashboards, KPIs, and leading indicators for the project. Provide regular HSE reports to the Project Manager and Country HSE Project Manager, ensuring transparency and timely escalation.
  • Project Close-Out & Handover: Ensure structured HSE handover to plant operations at project completion. Deliver final documentation, risk registers, and commissioning HSE readiness evidence.

Communication & Work Relationships:

  • Internal: Collaborate with Project Construction Safety Manager, HSE Project Country Manager, and Engineers.
  • External: Liaise with third-party auditors and certification bodies to ensure legal and standard compliance documentation.

Major Decisions/Authorities & Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensures adherence to legal and regulatory documentary requirements, reporting to authorities when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, OHS, or related field. An Engineering degree is not mandatory.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in safety management software, data analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Experience: Experience in overseeing contractor safety performance reporting and compliance tracking.
