Mechanical Inspection Engineer

Location

Sokhna Plant

Job Purpose

To ensure the integrity, reliability, and safe operation of all mechanical equipment in the plant through effective inspection, condition monitoring, and quality control practices. The role aims to minimize unplanned downtime, enhance equipment performance, and support continuous production by identifying defects early and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation, as well as the Company's HSE Policies, Rules, and Standards.
  • Ensure the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained at all times.
  • Follow all HSE Procedures, both Management and Operational.
  • Commit to gain all HSE competencies and capabilities relevant to the job role, as outlined in the country HSE training matrix (mandatory for the position or required based on the individual's activities).

 

 

2-Functional:

  • Inspect critical equipment such as: Rotary kilns, coolers, and preheater systems, Ball mills and Crushers
  • Measure and monitor all plant equipment conditions, analyses trends, and identify the needs for maintenance taking into account production constraints.
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of the condition of all plant equipment on a continuous basis.
  • Ensure the planned inspection of all plant equipment and initiate work orders based on inspection results, including safety checks. In case of anomaly, performs first analysis and defines priorities for each action.
  • Increase equipment availability and performance by knowing the equipment condition and reduce probability of unexpected failures through avoid the occurrence of technical incident during operation
  • As permanent member of the Reliability Steering Committee, promotes cross functional Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of incidents and drives implementation of solutions.
  • Analyze the Inspection KPI’s and suggest ways to improve the Performance
  • Analyses and proposes solutions on recurring problems of equipment reliability or problems concerning safety and work conditions
  • Participate to weekly schedule process
  • Ensures that the maintenance practices comply with Quality Insurance Standards.
  • Manage the implementation of vibration measurements, vibration analysis, balancing, laser alignment, thermograph imaging, lubrication execution and oil analysis jobs with the highest level of safety and quality with optimum cost to secure the plant operation and to achieve plant annual KPI’s

 

Education, Qualifications & Experience

 

Education: BSC degree in Mechanical Engineering

 

Technical Skills: Technical Reporting, Cement Background, good planning skills, good knowledge of maintenance operations, analytical skills, technical knowledge of preventive, predictive and systematic maintenance (databases, CMMS, Project Software), Computer literacy.

 

Experience: 2 – 3 years of experience, in cement or construction materials industry at least one year in Preventive Maintenance

Computer Skills: Microsoft office, SAP is must.
