People Partner Lead

Job Purpose

 

The People Partner Lead executes core People process at plant level, ensuring disciplined HR operations, employee relations, and policy application in support of daily plant operations.

The role provides hands-on People support to managers and employees, contributes to workforce stability and engagement, and supports change and continuous improvement through accurate, timely, and compliant execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Health & Safety:

 

Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.

 

 

  1. Functional:
  1. People Strategy Execution
  • Support deployment of the plant People strategy in alignment with Lafarge Egypt priorities.
  • Translate operational needs into practical People actions and workforce solutions.
  • Promote Lafarge values, performance culture, and engagement across plant functions.
  • Provide day-to-day people advisory support to line managers.

 

  1. Talent & Development
  • Support workforce planning activities and manpower optimization.
  • Coordinate talent reviews, succession planning, and development actions for key roles.
  • Facilitate performance management cycles, ensuring process discipline and quality documentation.
  • Coordinate learning and development initiatives for white- and blue-collar employees.
  • Support role clarity and organizational effectiveness initiatives.

 

  1.  Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Handle employee relations cases including discipline, grievances, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor law and internal policies in all people actions.
  • Support engagement initiatives and follow up on engagement action plans.
  • Support internal communication initiatives to enhance alignment and transparency.

 

  1. People Operations
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of employee lifecycle processes.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, HR system updates, and personnel records.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and labor law requirements.
  • Track and report People KPIs and workforce data.

 

  1. Change & Continuous Improvement
  • Support implementation of organizational changes and productivity initiatives.
  • Identify people-related risks and escalate proactively.

Contribute to continuous improvement of People processes and employee experience

 

 

Education, Qualifications & Experience

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Continuous professional development in labor law, leadership, change management, and industrial relations is expected.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of industrial/manufacturing HR and blue-collar workforce management.
  • In-depth understanding of Egyptian Labor Law and industrial relations.
  • Expertise in workforce planning, talent management, and performance systems.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle) and HR operations.
  • Solid background in governance, audit, and compliance related to HR.
  • Competent in leading change management and organizational effectiveness initiatives.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 - 8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within multinational and industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience leading HR functions in factory or plant settings with large labor populations.
  • Deep expertise in employee relations, engagement, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
