Job Purpose

The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial processes within the Project Department. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  1.  Health & Safety:
  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.

 

  1.  Functional:

 

  • Design and Development: Develop process designs and modifications to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability of systems and equipment.

 

  • Project Management: Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from conception to completion.

 

  • Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing processes to enhance performance, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with Lafarge industry standards.

 

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for process related issues during project execution.

 

  • Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering reports, process flow diagrams, Function description, FF&FD design concept and other documentation as required.

 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.

 

  • Compliance: Ensure all processes and procedures adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and Lafarge policies.

 

  • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in process engineering and implement new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Education, Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.

Master’s degree is a plus.

 

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering, preferably within a project environment.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
