Reliability and Shutdown Lead

Job Purpose

 

  • Contribute to achieving maximum long-term availability and reliability of the equipment and installations in the plant by supporting the implementation of appropriate preventive maintenance actions at the lowest cost and in compliance with H&S regulations.
  • Lead the team in the development, implementation, and execution of scheduling and shutdown functions in the plant.
  • Promote the Holcim maintenance management system and support the application of maintenance procedures, methods, and best practices within the team.
  • Ensure scheduling of maintenance operations, looking for the optimum use of resources, equipment availability and maintenance cost.
  • Manage the reliability program to optimize equipment performance and minimize unplanned outages.
  • Collect failure data and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and maintenance, to drive the implementation of best practices in reliability and asset management.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the weekly KPIs follow up meeting as well as work scheduling confirmation for Week N+1

Key Responsibilities

 

1-Health & Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, as well as the company's HSE Policies, Rules, and Standards within the team.
  • Lead by example to maintain the highest degree of safety and safe working practices at all times.
  • Implement Lafarge Safety Standards and Integrate safety into all maintenance operations and ensure working conditions and safety at work (Lafarge employees and contractors).

2-Functional:

  • Ensure that all quality assurance and control devices are considered as critical equipment for the plant.
  • Prioritize the notifications received from condition monitoring department and other creators and issue the corresponding corrective maintenance order.
  • Contribute to plan annual shutdown programs. Establish preventive maintenance plans in cooperation with the production manager, electrical and mechanical maintenance manager and Capex Manager.
  • Prepare and schedule the weekly maintenance programs and major shutdowns with his team and the assistance of the other department teams.
  • Look for the best optimization of maintenance operations according to the availability of equipment and workforce.
  • Monitor and ensure the maintenance work flow: Maintenance notifications (MN), Maintenance orders (MO) and maintenance backlog.
  • Ensure that the maintenance practices comply with Quality Assurance Standards implementation during Shutdown.
  • Develop and ensure the utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Ensure the permanent update of your own personal skills, develop.
  • Ensure that adequate internal communication exists to avoid conflicts and misunderstandings to improve the department’s effectiveness.
  • Control on key performance indicators for the department in conjunction with top-level management to implement and oversee process analysis and improvement.
  • Lead in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures, ensuring corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence. Utilize RCA findings to prioritize maintenance activities, focusing on high-impact areas to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Prepare Pareto analysis to identify the most critical equipment and failure modes, guiding the development and execution of maintenance strategies.

 

Education

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelors of Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of safety precautions, maintenance management, SAP, MMS, production process, product quality control, troubleshooting, planning, analytical skills, RCA process, ISO & Cement product.

           

  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and motor circuits, gearboxes, transmissions, welding techniques, lubrication, nondestructive tests and general mechanics.

 

  • Knowledge of MAC (Maintenance Cement), ACS, PMA and Cost.

           

  • Local Safety rules and regulations. Knowledge of quality management methods (ISO 9002)

           

  • Excellent Knowledge of cement process.

           

  • Computer literacy and CMMS.

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in cement plant maintenance is a must.
  • 1 Years’ experience with definition and implementation of preventive maintenance programs and routines.
