Site Engineer

Job Purpose

.

Oversee the production process & Maintenance, ensuring that safety requirement in place and operations are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner, while maintaining quality standards, develop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements, optimize production capacity & Ensuring compliance within government legislation regarding waste management, company policy and all aspects of health and safety within the facility

 

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety 

  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.
  • Communicating, improving, and enforcing safety standards in all work environments and areas, Acting as a role model.

 

Functional:

  • Supervise sorting system operations and material handling process
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
  • Manage production and operating reports and Troubleshoot
  • Monitor Equipment efficient running
  • Maintain high level of QA to the materials through proper sorting and storage
  • Develop and generate productivity and inventory reports
  • Establish Maintenance plan and manage the spare parts stock and follow up on maintenance duties
  • Develop and maintain good relations with external stakeholders
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained inside and outside the platform and inside production lines
  • Lead and Coach Platform technicians on procedures to accomplish high productivity rates and high Health and Safety levels
  • Provide a safe working environment within all warehouses and around docks, act as the site’s Health, Safety and Environment liaison
  • Manage the operations team, Improve and develop talents to drive high performance environment.
  • Utilize mobile equipment usage
  • Ensuring AF materials quality according to standard criteria
  • Monitor Stockpiles as per safety guidelines (temperature measurement, safe distance, aeration)
  • Monitor the industrial wastes acceptance and rejection criteria in addition safe materials handling process
  • Review system availability by confirming the daily checklist.  
  • Create RCA in case of operations KPI’s deviation
  • Report safety, production and operation KPIs records and audit the Traffic Management on daily basis.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and other necessary inputs, and track materials inventory on daily basis.
  • Develop processes SOPs in order to maintain operational continuous improvement 
  • Ensure accurate and concise information flow regarding the operations plan to facilitate the Monthly end closing 
  • Report End of Month operations and planning reports including ground issues and actual KPI’s.

 

Education, Qualifications & Experience

 

Education: 

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering

 

Technical Skills:

  • Sap user
  • Microsoft Office Applications
  • Analytical Skills
  • Familiar with RDF & Biomass Shredders
  • Heavy Mobile Equipment background
  • Extensive knowledge of effective health and safety
  • Strategy planning experience
  • Budget management

 

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of operational experience with minimum 2 years AF pre-processing.
  • Cement Background or waste management companies.
  • Industrial experience in waste treatment operations or equivalent
