Geocycle Sales Account Specialist

Job Purpose

The Sales Executive / Account Specialist supports the commercial strategy by executing day-to-day sales operations and nurturing business relationships with existing and new diversified customers within an assigned territory. The role focuses on identifying customer needs, presenting standard waste solutions, and maintaining consistent communication to build loyalty. The position handles routine customer accounts, supports market growth, and serves as an accessible contact point for account information.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Health & Safety:
  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies to ensure that the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.
  • Maintain Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards within the assigned remit of the role.
  • Conduct outdoor activities, customer visits inside and outside Cairo, and cement plant visits while strictly adhering to safety protocols regarding exposure to dust, chemicals, and hazardous waste.

 

  1. Functional:
  • Market Research: Assist in conducting market research alongside the business development team to identify potential selling opportunities and gather customer insights.
  • Plan Execution: Implement assigned portions of the commercial sales plan to ensure individual annual revenue targets are met.
  • Prospecting: Actively seek out new sales opportunities by utilizing cold calling, networking, and professional social media channels.
  • Meetings & Pitches: Coordinate and set up meetings with potential clients to present company services and understand client requirements.
  • Negotiation Support: Participate in deal negotiations, address customer objections, and escalate complex issues to the Area Manager when necessary.
  • Proposal Coordination: Assist in drafting technical and financial waste solution proposals, coordinating with the operations team to verify feasibility.
  • Customer Care: Handle routine customer feedback, log complaints, and resolve basic service issues to improve the overall buyer experience.
  • Prequalification: Facilitate the prequalification process for new customers by gathering documentation in liaison with the HSE team.
  • Database Management: Diligently maintain and update the customer database for the assigned area to ensure accurate account tracking.

 

 

Education, Qualifications & Experience

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemical/Material Engineering, or an equivalent degree.

 

Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Sales Engineering, business development, or customer accounts, preferably within waste management, chemicals, or heavy industrial sectors in Egypt.

 

Technical Skills: Foundational knowledge of the Egyptian waste value chain; Basic understanding of waste management, co-processing, and alternative fuels.

 

Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal, communication, and proactive selling skills; Good command of the English language and solid professional writing skills; Proficiency in MS Office and operational familiarity with SAP.
