HERACLES Group, Greece's leading company in the field of building materials and a member of Holcim, is seeking to cover the position of Accounts Payable Accountant for our Headquarters at Lykovrysi.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of vendor invoices following accounting standards and tax legislation.

  • Processing and monitoring of T&E expenses.

  • Perform accounts payable and vendor reconciliations.

  • Monitor down payments to vendors.

  • Liaise with Group Shared Services Centers.

  • Resolve all payables-related issues with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with My Data regulations for incoming invoices through correct mapping, maintenance, and reconciliation.

  • Prepare for and support Tax and Statutory audits, and liaise with external auditors.

  • Work with various stakeholders to improve AP processes, controls, and analysis.

  • Work efficiently in a team environment within the department and effectively liaise with various departments within the organization.

  • Adhere to and implement procedures, policies, and internal controls of the organization for AP activities.

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or any related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable principles, accounting, and tax aspects.

  • Proficiency in written and oral English is a prerequisite.

  • Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.

  • Strong familiarity with ERP, working experience in SAP will be considered an asset.

  • Analytical and organizational skills, responsibility, focus on results.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
