About the job

HERACLES Group, Greece's leading company in the field of building materials and a member of Holcim, is seeking to cover the position of Logistics Coordinator for a  Fixed-term 1-year contract in our Head Offices in Athens.

 

Role & Key Accountabilities

The purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient and cost-effective land transportation of bulk cement and materials. The role involves scheduling, monitoring, and optimizing deliveries, managing transport contracts, and supporting digital logistics systems and projects.

  • Coordinates and monitors daily cement deliveries.

  • Tracks vehicle performance and waiting times using telematics.

  • Reviews routes, transport costs, and fuel clauses.

  • Manages transport contracts, tariffs, and supplier relations.

  • Supports the integration of new trucks, systems, and sensors.

  • Prepares and validates transport invoices.

  • Prepares and monitors purchase requests.

  • Ensures compliance with safety, legal, and company standards.

  • Provides regular logistics reports.

  • Supports improvement logistics projects.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • Professional experience in logistics or transport coordination would be highly appreciated.

  • Proficiency in MS Office; ERP/SAP knowledge.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Organizational skills and multi-tasking
