HERACLES Group, Greece’s leading company in the field of building materials and a member of Holcim, is seeking to cover the position of RMX Area Coordinator to join LAFARGE BETON, one of the fastest growing and most dynamic companies in the aggregates and concrete sector.
The Area Coordinator will be based at the Concrete (RMX) site in Heraklion, Crete.
Role & Key Accountabilities
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment for employees, contractors, and suppliers within their responsibility at the Unit Site and at Customer Sites.
- Guarantee the implementation of production process procedures, from receipt of raw materials, execution of the quality control plan (and updating of corresponding databases), correct production of concrete, up to the loading of concrete to transporters.
- Manage the sale of concrete from the initial approach of a potential customer to project completion.
- Ensure that procedures and instructions for loading, transporting, unloading, and pumping of concrete are followed by both transporters and pump operators.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, adequate spare parts, preparation of production schedules, and correct updating of systems (production, sales, material requisitions, payments to suppliers/contractors) for all units under their responsibility.
- Develop, in cooperation with the Maintenance Department, and implement the Inspection and Lubrication Plan for equipment of the Units of Responsibility and report findings to the relevant database.
- Guarantee compliance with environmental conditions as defined in the operating permits of units under responsibility (water management, rubble management, concrete returns, etc.).
- Ensure implementation of the Environmental Management System and Policy by employees and subcontractors, in collaboration with the ISO 14001 Environmental System Manager.
- Support project teams as needed in the areas of responsibility.
Qualifications & Skills
- University degree in Engineering (Technological Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Environmental and Geotechnical Engineer)
- 2-3 years as a supervisor of infrastructure projects / production teams (preferred but not mandatory)
- Excellent command of the English language
- Proactive and self-driven attitude
- Results-oriented, committed to Health & Safety issues
- Team spirit and effective communication
