HERACLES Group, Greece's leading company in the field of building materials and a member of Holcim, is seeking to cover the position of Production Supervisor for our Cement Plant in Volos


Role & Key Accountabilities

The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for managing and overseeing daily plant production operations, leading the production team, and ensuring operational targets are met efficiently and safely. 

  • Ensures strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and regulations. 

  • Supervises daily production activities to ensure smooth plant operations and continuous target achievement. 

  • Leads, manages, and motivates the production team, fostering a collaborative and safety-oriented work environment. 

  • Collaborates closely with the Production Manager, Process, Maintenance, and Quality teams to optimize operational efficiency and output. 

  • Monitors operational KPIs, identifies process deviations, and implements corrective actions. 

  • Coordinates effective shift handovers, operational troubleshooting, and problem-solving on the shop floor. 

  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives, cost-optimization projects, and operational upgrades. 

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Production & Management Engineering

  • Postgraduate studies (MSc) in a relevant field will be considered a plus. 

  • Proven experience in people management / leading teams within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong technical understanding and problem-solving capacity. 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills. 

  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and time-management skills.

  • Safety-first mindset and proactive attitude. 

  • Excellent command of the English language.
